Teams agreed that everything depends on what border you live at<\/strong>. If it is a friendly country<\/strong>, living near the border generally brings benefits<\/strong>\u2014including easier travel, cultural exchange, and access to cross-border opportunities. However, living near an aggressive country<\/strong> was described as a risk<\/strong>, since security and stability can change overnight<\/strong>, and people often live in fear of unpredictable events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When identifying priority areas for cooperation<\/strong>, participants pointed to the army<\/strong>, infrastructure<\/strong>, and culture<\/strong>. They emphasized that stronger cooperation in defense<\/strong> is crucial for protecting Ukraine, while infrastructure development<\/strong> is needed to modernize transport, communication, and public services. At the same time, cultural cooperation<\/strong> was seen as a way to preserve identity and strengthen ties with European neighbors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Teams chose to discuss Interreg Danube<\/strong>, which they found interesting and useful for Ukraine<\/strong>. They appreciated the program\u2019s focus on regional connectivity, sustainable growth, and cross-border collaboration<\/strong>, recognizing its potential to support Ukraine\u2019s long-term recovery and European integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When discussing current challenges<\/strong>, all teams agreed that the war remains the biggest obstacle<\/strong>, alongside local issues<\/strong>such as weaknesses in transportation systems<\/strong> and political instability<\/strong>. These factors were seen as barriers that limit cooperation and slow down progress at both national and local levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Finally, students turned their attention to their own school environment<\/strong>, proposing a project to rebuild their school building according to EU standards<\/strong> and improve the education system<\/strong> overall.
