They noted that proximity to a&nbsp;<strong>friendly and developed country<\/strong>&nbsp;allows people to&nbsp;<strong>travel more easily<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>work abroad<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>experience greater mobility<\/strong>&nbsp;than those living further inland. This closeness to Europe was seen as an important connection to stability, opportunity, and future growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When identifying&nbsp;<strong>the main areas where cooperation is needed<\/strong>, teams highlighted two priorities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The army<\/strong>, stressing that Ukrainian soldiers could\u00a0<strong>benefit from NATO experience and standards<\/strong>, and that\u00a0<strong>military cooperation<\/strong>\u00a0is vital for improving defense capacity;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The education system<\/strong>, where stronger partnerships could bring modernization and exchange of knowledge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Teams also mentioned that they found&nbsp;<strong>all Interreg NEXT projects currently active in Ukraine<\/strong>&nbsp;to be&nbsp;<strong>highly useful<\/strong>, recognizing their contribution to&nbsp;<strong>regional development<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>cross-border collaboration<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>integration with European partners<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The group identified&nbsp;<strong>two major challenges<\/strong>&nbsp;for Ukraine today:&nbsp;<strong>the ongoing war<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>the human factor<\/strong>. They explained that&nbsp;<strong>many Ukrainians are still unfamiliar with large-scale cooperation projects<\/strong>&nbsp;and might need&nbsp;<strong>time, experience, and support<\/strong>&nbsp;to understand their importance and participate effectively in them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When imagining their&nbsp;<strong>dream project<\/strong>, all teams agreed on one shared goal:&nbsp;<strong>the reconstruction of Ukraine after the war<\/strong>.
