The discussion reflected a hopeful vision of cross-border collaboration grounded in empathy, sustainability, and social inclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most participants agreed that&nbsp;<strong>living near a border is a great opportunity<\/strong>. It allows residents to&nbsp;<strong>access services and facilities from both sides<\/strong>, such as&nbsp;<strong>hospitals, schools, and public transport<\/strong>, while also&nbsp;<strong>encouraging people from different regions to meet, exchange ideas, and learn from one another<\/strong>. This kind of interaction helps communities&nbsp;<strong>grow stronger<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>improve their economies<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>find collective solutions<\/strong>&nbsp;to common problems. For many, border regions represent&nbsp;<strong>dynamic spaces for cooperation<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>business, education, tourism, and environmental protection<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When identifying&nbsp;<strong>the areas where cooperation is most urgently needed<\/strong>, participants emphasized:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Psychological support<\/strong>, especially for individuals affected by\u00a0<strong>conflict or displacement<\/strong>, who need\u00a0<strong>accessible mental health services<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>trauma-informed care<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Youth opportunities<\/strong>, including\u00a0<strong>mentorship<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>vocational training<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>international exchange programs<\/strong>\u00a0to build\u00a0<strong>resilience and future prospects<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Community programs<\/strong>, such as\u00a0<strong>cultural events<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>social enterprises<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>inclusive recreational activities<\/strong>, which promote\u00a0<strong>social cohesion<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>civic engagement<\/strong>; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Environmental sustainability<\/strong>, addressing issues like\u00a0<strong>waste management<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>renewable energy<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>nature conservation<\/strong>\u00a0to ensure\u00a0<strong>public health and ecological balance<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although participants had not previously encountered&nbsp;<strong>Interreg projects<\/strong>, they shared several&nbsp;<strong>innovative ideas for potential initiatives<\/strong>. One notable suggestion was to organize&nbsp;<strong>master classes and practical workshops<\/strong>&nbsp;in Ukrainian cities where people could create&nbsp;<strong>handmade items<\/strong>\u2014such as&nbsp;<strong>drawings, clothing, or origami<\/strong>.
