{"id":272,"date":"2025-10-08T14:14:46","date_gmt":"2025-10-08T14:14:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yodec.rotineret.ro\/?p=272"},"modified":"2025-10-08T14:14:47","modified_gmt":"2025-10-08T14:14:47","slug":"22-may-2025-youth-consultation-in-the-republic-of-moldova-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yodec.rotineret.ro\/index.php\/2025\/10\/08\/22-may-2025-youth-consultation-in-the-republic-of-moldova-2\/","title":{"rendered":"22 May 2025 \u2013 Youth Consultation in the Republic of Moldova"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 22 May 2025, young people from the Republic of Moldova took part in a consultation exploring the opportunities and challenges of living near a border, as well as the types of cooperation that can strengthen their communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants noted several&nbsp;<strong>opportunities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the ability to\u00a0<strong>visit more countries in a shorter time<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>increased\u00a0<strong>economic advantages<\/strong>\u00a0due to cheaper and more accessible goods,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and the potential for\u00a0<strong>strategic investments<\/strong>\u00a0in geostrategic areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, they also pointed out important&nbsp;<strong>disadvantages<\/strong>, such as&nbsp;<strong>instability risks<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>potential attacks in case of war<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>fewer opportunities<\/strong>&nbsp;due to the&nbsp;<strong>distance from the capital<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When asked where cooperation is most needed, the group identified the&nbsp;<strong>cultural, political, social, and economic fields<\/strong>&nbsp;as key areas. Among existing initiatives, they highlighted&nbsp;<strong>TAAS<\/strong>&nbsp;as the most valuable Interreg project, emphasizing that&nbsp;<strong>tourism plays a vital role in boosting the local economy<\/strong>, creating jobs, and promoting cultural exchange. They appreciated that TAAS provides&nbsp;<strong>sustainable solutions<\/strong>&nbsp;and focuses on&nbsp;<strong>long-term regional development<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main difficulties young people observed in everyday cross-border and transnational cooperation included&nbsp;<strong>cultural differences<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>language barriers<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>prejudices<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>wars or military conflicts<\/strong>, along with&nbsp;<strong>inefficient public transport<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their \u201cdream project,\u201d titled\u00a0<strong>\u201cFilmmakers &amp; Journalists \u2013 To Tell Raw, Human-Centered Stories,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0envisions collaboration between filmmakers, journalists, and local communities to tell\u00a0<strong>authentic, human stories<\/strong>. Through workshops in conflict or transition areas, locals\u2014especially youth and women\u2014would learn to film and share their own experiences ethically and responsibly. The final outcomes would include\u00a0<strong>documentaries, photo essays, and podcasts<\/strong>, co-created with the communities and shared globally through film festivals, schools, and social media.<br><br>The session concluded with an inspiring thought from\u00a0<strong>a 14 years old, Republic of Moldova<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFor the Republic of Moldova to grow and develop, it is essential to invest in cooperation projects that bring together people, ideas, and resources, turning challenges into real opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 22 May 2025, young people from the Republic of Moldova took part in a consultation exploring the opportunities and challenges of living near a border, as well as the types of cooperation that can strengthen their communities.
