The National Youth Foundation (FNT) is the only full member from Romania of the European Youth Information and Counseling Agency \u2013 ERYICA. The FNT network has distinguished itself through the achievement of a Quality Label for Youth Centers by a member foundation, awarded by the Council of Europe \u2013 the highest distinction of its kind in Europe, confirming compliance with the quality standards imposed by the Council of Europe. Thus, in Romania, the FNT network hosts the only youth center that has obtained and holds this certification. Among the member states of the Council of Europe, there are only 14 such certified centers.<\/p>\n
Over time, the FNT network has been involved in major projects for youth development. Within the %22Youth Capital of Romania%22 program, member foundations of the FNT network have been involved and continue to contribute to its implementation in 4 of the 8 cities that have won the title (Timi\u0219oara, T\u00e2rgu Jiu, Ploie\u0219ti, Alba Iulia).<\/p>\n
Additionally, in the past 5 years, the FNT network has made considerable efforts to attract funding and engage hundreds of young people in renovating spaces dedicated to them, including saving buildings that belong to local communities. These efforts demonstrate the genuine care that FNT members devote to the development of youth and the spaces intended for them.<\/p>\n
In 2022, declared the EUROPEAN YEAR OF YOUTH by the European Commission, FNT contributed significantly to Romania’s success, which ranked first among countries in terms of activities conducted on this occasion. Moreover, with over 1,800 activities registered across the network, FNT not only surpassed other national networks but even outperformed the second-place country \u2013 France, thus becoming the national network in Europe with the most registered activities during the European Year of Youth. This achievement was also recognized by ANPCDEFP, the agency in Romania responsible for implementing the European Commission’s youth programs, which awarded the National Youth Foundation for its network-level success and its contribution to Romania’s achievements in this field.<\/p>\n
